Dairy founder Ginny Tate dies

Monday, July 20, 2009

Ginny Tate, the co-founder of Goat Lady Dairy, has died of Lou Gehrig’s disease at her Randolph County, S.C., home. She was 69.

Tate and her brother, Steve, founded the dairy in 1995 and today produce a full line of handmade cheeses, including goat cheese truffles, as seen here in a Fox News video published earlier this month.

Tate is survived by her brother, Steve, his wife, Lee, and the couple’s sons.
