Goat Soap

Sunday, July 12, 2009

LynnAnne, a semi-retired Registered Nurse and self-professed soap-a-holic, makes these goat-in-a-sweater soaps from her home in Walker Valley, New York.

The soap, made from LynnAnne’s goat milk and shea butter, is wrapped in hand-dyed Romney wood, then felted. The wool continues to felt, acting as a mild exfoliating washcloth, as the bar of soap is used and shrinks.
