That seems to be the common consensus with those who ingest "raw". However, there are also a lot of folks who like the taste of pasteurized milk and are concerned (unnecessarily in my opinion) about raw. Either way, goat's milk is great stuff and those who turn up their noses without sampling, should give it a try.

One of the reasons you have trouble with the store bought milk is because it is pasteurized(sp?) and it kills off enzymes and things that help you digest it. Store bought goats milk has got to be the worst tasting stuff ever. I have been milking for 6 years now and we cant hardly drink Any kind of store bought milk! Good luck milking your own!!Its well worth the effort!

One of the reasons I got into goats is severe lactose problems. After years of no milk or cheese, I'm hugely enjoying having dairy fat in my diet again. It's all about education here at ATG (well that and some humor too).

This is a nice intro to the benefits of goat milk. Goat milk has so much to offer in terms of nutritional and health benefits--if only people knew what they were missing! Thanks for helping to get the word out. Great website, by the way.

I have found that I cannot stand regular 'store bought' goat milk. The 'goaty' taste is far too strong. However, the milk from an organic producer here in BC is fantastic and lacks the goaty flavour. It also doesn't cause my stomach to bloat the way the 'regular' store bought does (what is up with that anyway?)

I'm sooooooooo looking forward to trying my own goat milk in the next month or so. Will keep you posted as to how it turns out when I do!

cheers,
