Sarah of Blue Goose Farms Mississippi says The Angora Goat is must reading for anyone raising these fiber goats.

Stephanie & Allison Mitcham’s book gives practical information on how to get started in the fiber goat business, the kind of facilities needed and the importance of record keeping, shearing, marketing and disease and parasite control. It also includes a section on the history of Angoras and a chapter called “Food for Thought” — a series of succulent recipes for goat meat.

When not reading, Sarah of Blue Goose Farms raises Pygmy, Angora and Pygora goats amid myriad other livestock on her Mississippi homestead. Sarah’s got great pictures of her fiber goats on her site.
