Canada: Dwarf Goats

Thursday, August 27, 2009

ONTARIO, Canada — Ashley, a former model with stunning tattoos, lives with her young son and husband on 50 acres in Ontario where she is passionate about “food, natural parenting and autonomy.”

She’s also passionate about her baby Nigerian Dwarf goats, which she allowed into the house recently – in cloth diapers — while her husband was out of town. Ashley’s videos, seen here and here, show why these tiny goats are so popular.

On other fronts, Ashley makes a powerful statement in favor of “clean” food, humanely raised. She opposes factory farming and comes down as hard on consuming carnivores who buy meat without giving a thought about how it was raised. Her photo montage From Day Old to Dinner takes us from tiny chick to cooked entree with this introduction:

“Don’t give us some bleeding heart response over this happy little henny if you yourself are burrowing your head in the sand and eating products from animals forced to live and die in truly disgusting conditions…. If you could not bring yourself to kill it, you shouldn’t be eating it, either. Take some responsibility for your actions, or bow out.”
