Great Goat Billy Mabray

Wednesday, August 26, 2009

Billy MabrayBilly Mabray, of Yukon, Okla., wrote and asked if he could be considered for our Great Goat category and after minimal consideration we decided why not!

Billy, a two-legged critter who Twitters under Smart Goat and blogs at News Goat, runs a Web development company with his wife, who dreams of owning a goat farm. We asked Billy why he should be named a Great Goat:

“I should be a Great Goat because, ever since I was a kid, I was
destined for greatness. As I climbed the mountain of life I would chew
through problems like so much garbage. Sure, I butted heads with some
people along the way, but I always knew I could maaaake it.”

“I don’t know if I actually qualify as a great goat, but I do try to defend the good name of goats every chance I get.”

So here’s to you Billy Mabray — a Great Goat with chutzpah. We’ll like you even more when you learn that goats don’t eat garbage. You got some studyin’ to do before you and your wife get those goats.

Thanks! This is such an honor. And you’re absolutely right about the garbage. In my defense, it was college & those raccoons made it seem so cool…

Y’all have a great site here. Keep up the good work!
