Rejecting the Kids

Tuesday, August 11, 2009

Kristeva Dowling at Howling Duck Ranch grapples in this post with a doe who is rejecting her kids, including Kristeva’s favorite, Sinbad.

In researching the issue, Kristeva found an on-the-money post from Double M Boer Ranch on why some nannies reject their kids.

Combining personal knowledge of her goats with wisdom from the Double M, Kristeva explores ways to get her kids fed, leaving open the door for their mother to take them back.

The experience leaves Kristeva thinking, “Goat breeding. If only I’d read the fine print.”

Editors Note: Check out the Double M bucks, especially “Fat Bastard.”
