I raise Spanish/ Genemaster (5/8 Boer/ 3/8 Kiko) goats. I like this cross because of the hardiness of the Kiko, the large frame of the strain of Spanish buck I use & the meatiness of the Boer that fills the large frames. I feel that this is the fastest growing crossbreed I have ever produced. I breed my Genemaster does to a Spanish buck from TX. I do have a few pure Boer does & a registered Kiko buck so that I can produce more of the Genemaster does to breed to my Spanish buck so I do have some intermediary crosses for sale from time to time. I actually will have some fullblood Spanish & some fullblood Genemaster bucklings for sale in mid February 2012 as well as some commercial 50/50 cross bucklings. I live in E. Tennessee where the "worm season" goes from early March to early November but still only deworm/ hoof trim 1-2 times a year (usually evaluate each animal on an as needed basis) on average. This is what works for me on our farm. Visit my website @ www.calfeefarms.net.
