Switzerland’s Appenzells

Saturday, September 19, 2009

A fascinating video about a Swiss farmer who raises Appenzell goats at what looks like the top of the world.

Martin Signer, the farmer, is part of a project to increase the number of Appenzells and decrease the number of cows in the region.

He’s a personable man who clearly likes working with goats, including milking by hand. And wait till you see how he gets his milk to market. Amazing.
