Goats and Ferrets

Wednesday, October 28, 2009

Janilou at Rainbow Gate Farm in Guttenberg, Iowa, got two ferrets to help with rat control in her barns, where she shelters a herd of 200 dairy goats. The ferrets have proved entertaining, but little else.

“Now we own two ferrets, who eat expensive ferret food, and couldn’t care less about hunting rats,” Janilou says in this post. “I think I saw a rat doing a victory dance across the grain bin this morning.”
