Pygmy goats try to hitch a ride

Sunday, November 22, 2009

VANCOUVER, Wash. — Pygmy kids, Yoda and Yates, escaped their pen and walked on board a city bus after following two women down the street. Owner Jorja Blake said the goats follow her around like puppies and so it wasn’t unusual they would follow the women, who tried to stop them from boarding.

“They’re extremely friendly. We call them ‘cowdogs,’” Blake said. “They follow us around like little dogs, but they eat everything like a cow.”

The Blake family said they need to build taller fences.

  2. What a cute story… my goats have escaped the farm and were headed to the airport before I was alerted as to their vertical aspirations and quickly retrieved them!
