The Baby’s Crying. No Wait, It’s Just the Goat
Nubians are known for being a bit vocal. They talk, they grumble, they bawl, they bellow.
They yell as their people arrive to bring them food and they yell even louder as the dutiful tender walks back to the house leaving the poor dears to fend for themselves in the wilderness of the barn.
Compliments of Sugar Plum Dairy, this video has all the proof you’d ever need.

Thanks for this site. Extremely interesting post.
What a riot! I love your All Things Goat website, and enjoy reading the messages in batches via RSS feed. I had a wonderful laugh yesterday in catching up on a few week’s-worth when I saw that you had linked to the video of my big blue Nubian, Leah, as she bellows in the barnyard. She remains the loudest of all my girls – by far! She also milks like a dream and is one of the best mothers that ever could be.
Many thanks for the link, Ladies, I’m tickled to have one of my gals in your company.

I had to do it, Tracy. My Nubian is a howler like yours and I laughed so hard watching your video, I couldn’t help myself.
I thought I’d pop in and share a follow-up video with you of Lovely Leah talking to her kids in the morning. They are waiting for the milking chores to be wrapped up before they are let out. What a surprise, the little blue one sounds JUST like mama…
