Excess Goat Milk Used for Soap

Saturday, January 16, 2010

FRANKFORD, Mo. — Stephanie Schindler had excess goat’s milk from her children’s 4-H goats. Rather than pour it down the drain, she decided to freeze it and once the freezer was full, to make soap.

Her problem with too much milk has turned into a nice little business with her soaps being sold in several area stores near her home in Frankford.

Stephanie says her soap helps maintain healthy skin due to the natural components found in goat’s milk. Goat’s milk soap has long been touted as being gentle and excellent for those with sensitive or problem skin.

Stephanie’s little problem has become a thriving small business and she’s recently branched out into pet treats and jerky bites.
