Giveaway: Happy Goat Caramels

Saturday, February 13, 2010

Galen Mommens, Tracy Shiflett, Tina Culbertson and Michelle Merkel are the winners of this month’s Great Giveaway!

They’ll each receive a four-ounce box of Happy Goat Caramels from San Francisco confectioner Michael Winnike, who makes these yummy caramels sweet and savory.

“The tanginess of goat milk provides a depth of flavor in caramel that I think is lacking from many sweets made with cow milk,” Winnike says. “It also has a nice clean finish instead of the somewhat filmy after taste some cow milk caramels leave.”

Winnike’s milk is not treated with growth hormones or antibiotics and the grass on which the goats feed is pesticide free.
