Quads in Connecticut
NORTH STONINGTON, Conn. –
The Caswell’s were enthusiastically awaiting the birth of twins or maybe triplets to their Nubian doe, Bouquet. What they weren’t expecting were quadruplets.
Early Valentine’s Day morning, Bouquet presented the Caswell family with not one, not two, not three but four baby goats. While local farmers told Marc Caswell that quads were rare in his part of Connecticut, the ADGA’s spokeswoman, Penny Albert, says they really aren’t that uncommon.
Bouquet is able to feed all four thus far, but the Caswell’s are prepared to help if she beomes overwhelmed. It just goes to shot that with goats, you just never know what you’ll get until it arrives.
