Depends on what you plan to use them for. Any type of goat will clear your brush for you. If you want them for more than that (dairy or meat), choose a breed that suits your needs. If you're just looking to keep the place tidy, I'd get pygmies. They tend to not go over fences due to their small stature and they're not as heavy as a mid to full sized breed so you can haul them around easier when they do get out or you just need to move somewhere else. And get wethers or does, not bucks.

Goats do well on almost any kind of browse, that is a mix of weeds, brush and grass. If your property is weedy and brushy, the goats should do just fine. Make sure they have a mineral block available in addition to the foliage.

Hello, I am interested in putting some goats on about 2 acres of wooded land to clean up the honeysuckle and briars and help keep the new tree growth down. Can someone tell me if I can raise goats that will be healthy with this type of diet?
