Phython Swallows Goat
KURANDA, Australia — A 16-foot amethyst python known for dining on local wallabies devoured a 77-pound goat, horns and all, The Cairns Post reported.
“This particular python, I think because it’s territorial, has been in the area for quite a while. It eats mainly wallabies, and wallabies are as big as a goat,” said Yuri Hagedorn, a neighbor of the woman whose goat was swallowed.
It took the python three days to digest the goat, said Hagedorn, who described the snake as a regular visitor in the neighborhood, which borders a rain forest.
Surviving goats from the woman’s yard since have been donated to Kuranda’s Uncle Pete’s Petting Zoo.

I surf the web a bit and I think your site is the most original and best. I am
not particularly a goat person, though as a child I was amazed at the capacity
of the goat to demolish and to escape! I live in Kuranda Austalia, and am a
friend of Juri, the neighbour of the lady whose goat was demolished by the
python. My tropical garden flourishes because of a lovely lady who turned up one
day with a trailer load of goat poo from her small goat herd which she kept to
provide her with fleece for her spinning and weaving cottage industry. i hardly
knew her and have not seen her since. isn’t that amazing?Someone had told her I
was starting a garden and there she was!! The funniest thing i have EVER seen,
was at the local Agricultural show. The Grand Champion goat systematically
eating all the certificates he had been awarded!!!
