Tree Goats

Tuesday, May 25, 2010

Have you seen pictures of those goats that sit in trees? Of course you have. But if you’re one of the dozen people who hasn’t, here’s a video of some of them in action.

As if it weren’t entertaining enough to see goats climb trees, Amanda Arnold has discovered why they do it. It turns out that Moroccan goats have access to some tasty leaves which grow on the argan tree. Not only are the leaves yummy, but the nuts are pretty special too.

I won’t ruin the suspense by recounting her findings here but will suggest you go read them first hand. It gives me new appreciation for Moroccan goats, not to mention facial products.

And if you can’t get enough of goats up in trees, YouTube is crawling with videos of them.
