ROCKBRIDGE, Va. –

Math teachers at Maury River Middle School didn’t know what they were in for when they made a deal with 7th grade math students. Teachers Davida Staton and Ramona Topping agreed that if students scored 80% or higher on the state Standards of Learning tests, they would kiss a goat.

Students scored 86%. Let the goat kissing commence!

Teacher Davida Staton making good on the deal by kissing a goat held and owned by student Marcus Engleman at the school award rally.
