Putting a Spin on Goats

KELLER, Texas –

Mea Stone always wanted to live on a farm but after being diagnosed with MS, her family made it a reality. Initially, Stone wanted dairy goats but the thought of daily milking wasn’t going over well with her husband so she decided on angora goats instead. It’s a decision she doesn’t regret.

Stony Woods Farm, Mea’s dream, has a herd of 19 goats from whose fiber are produced specialty scarves and hats created by Mea herself. With a spinning wheel purchased from eBay and an education gained from books, Mrs. Stone produces one of a kind items from start to finish.
